The gîtes at Belle Epoque Estate

Ideally situated between the forest and the ocean, Château Belle Epoque in Linxe (40) welcomes you from April to October on an estate of nearly 4 hectares.

Stay in one of our 11 gîtes that each have a private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, fitted kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and one or more bedrooms.

Enjoy a outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, ping-pong table or a walk around the lake. Your children can play in the estate gardens in the play area, on the swings, in the sandpit, on the slide... and even more!

Discover the numerous activities nearby :

Cycle tracks linking the different beaches along the coast, running from Arcachon down to Bayonne. You can rent bikes nearby that will be delivered to you at the estate. The beaches are only 10 minutes by car from the Château, and also only 10 minutes from the Château is the lake at Leon and it’s many activities (accrobranche, stand up paddle, canoeing).

All gîtes are non-smoking and are rented out furnished on a seasonal basis. You can rent a gîte :

• In low season and mid season from any day of the week for a minimum of two nights, with an arrival time of 4 pm and departure at 10 am. You can prolong your stay if the gîte is available.
• In high season and very high season, from Saturday at 4 pm until the following Saturday at 10 am, a minimum therefore of one week. You can prolong your stay another week if the gîte is available.

Most of the gîtes are located in the old stable buildings, whose wrought iron structure was designed by Gustave Eiffel.  They are each named after the Belle Epoque horse vehicles.

The rent covers all local fees and tap water, electricity and gas for the entire length of your stay. You also have free Wi-Fi access in the Château living-room. 

You have access to the outdoor swimming pool, the boules pitch, the tennis court and the play areas for children for the duration of your stay. We welcome your pets but they must be kept on a lead when in the estate grounds.

We speak English, Spanish and French.

If you have forgotten your sheets or towels, you can rent them at the estate. Ask at reception.

Those little extras that will make your life easier and help cope with the unexpected. And if you have more visitors than planned, come and see us at reception and we will be happy to help if we have available guest rooms

You agree to vacate the accommodation on Saturday at 10 am at the latest, and to hand in the keys at reception. Any delay in vacating the premises will result in a penalty fee. You will receive a rental contract explaining all of this and where you can read our general sale conditions.

At the start of your rental you will be given a set of keys and instructions relating to the proper usage of your accommodation.

Rules at the Château Belle Epoque estate

The number of guests cannot be higher than mentioned on the reservation document, except for prior agreement. Children under the age of 3 are not counted.

You can freely access all areas of the estate grounds, subject to respecting the privacy in front of each individual accommodation. Once you have unloaded your baggage, you must park your vehicle in the private parking provided at the entrance as vehicles are prohibited from circulating in the grounds of the estate.

Any movement and activity around the estate must always take into account and respect the calm and rest that the majority of the residents are looking for.

Pets are welcome with prior agreement and must be kept on a lead. Château Belle Epoque do however reserve the right to refuse a pet if they consider the animal dangerous or if it could disturb the peace on the estate

Cancellation of your gîte reservation

Once the rental contract has been signed both parties are committed. No termination is possible without the written agreement of both parties.

If however you wish to cancel your reservation :

• 61 days before your arrival, you will not be liable for the amount of rent
• From 60 to 15 days before your arrival: you remain liable for 30% of the rent
• From 14 days before your arrival: you remain liable for the full amount of the rent

Except "Special Offers" or "Promotions" in course not cancellable or in case of force majeure.

The balance of rental payment and security deposit.

When entering the premises, you will give the reception your credit card fingerprint in order to take a deposit of :

• 350 € (three hundred and fifty euros) for an accommodation of less than five people
• 500 € (five hundred euros) for an accommodation of more than five people

The security deposit covers any damage or deterioration of the accommodation, furniture and any objects inside, that may be caused during your stay, as well as the loss of any keys or objects pertaining to the accommodation

The deposit will be returned to you within a period of 8 days after your departure, with any deductions made where appropriate to cover the sum of any damage or deterioration of the accommodation and its furniture caused by you during your stay, as well as the loss of any keys or objects.
